Mawghan McCabe & Berten Vanhee took over the Wild Foodz concept after it had been 9 years in St. Michiels location and moved it into their hotel on Speelmansrei Hotel Entree.Berten & I purchased this hotel in 2023 and have been working on making it more and more guest friendly ever since… Room by Room.
Berten is originally from Poperinge and worked for VTI Boarding School in Bruges for over 10 years. I am originally from NYC yes born and raised on East 24th Street, learned to ride a bicycle in our apartment which was the whole floor because we lived on one side and my father had his photography studio on the other side … so nice long hallway to learn how to ride a bike 🙂
Berten and I met in Bruges while I was working in Ghent and after a year dating decided to buy a house in Bruges. We love Bruges and wanted to share this magical city with as many people as possible so we purchased a vacation house just outside the center. Most of our guests loved our house but did say they wished it was in the city center so we started looking for a property in the city center. We found the Hotel Ensor and fell in love with the location overlooking the water canal of the city center. Shortly after the purchase we renamed the Hotel Entree Brugge and began renovations. We have a wonderful team we work with everyday and look forward to introducing you to them so you can see the amazing humans behind the scenes of this little self check in hotel in the city center of Brugge!
