Delivery Zone in Bruges: Where Wild Foodz Brings Red Velvet Waffles

Wild Foodz by Hotel Entree delivers from Speelmansrei 11, in the center of Bruges. You can order through Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Takeaway.com, or through our own self-delivery, which covers a 20-mile radius. That is wide enough for the medieval center, the neighborhoods around it and many of the villages beyond. The dish most people ask us to bring along is our Red Velvet Waffle, so this guide covers both the delivery area and how to get that waffle to you at its best.

TL;DR

  • We prepare everything fresh daily at Speelmansrei 11, 8000 Bruges, and deliver through Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Takeaway.com and our own self-delivery within a 20-mile radius.
  • The exact zone on each app depends on your address, so enter it in the app to see whether we appear. Live status and delivery times change through the day.
  • The Red Velvet Heart Waffles were our featured Valentine’s Day special throughout February 2026. A Red Velvet Waffle also appears on our Deliveroo menu, but availability is seasonal, so check the live menu before you plan around it.

Where we deliver in Bruges

We cook in the heart of the city, so the historic center is our home turf. Hotels, guesthouses, holiday apartments and offices around the Markt, the canals and the station area are all close to our kitchen. We have been delivering to them for years. Our own site describes ten years of healthy food delivered from Hotel Entree in Bruges.

Beyond the ring of canals, we offer two routes:

  1. Delivery platforms. Each app draws its own map around the restaurant and adjusts it through the day. Our page on Deliveroo lists us under Brugge Centrum, and the page shows an estimated delivery time and the fees for your address.
  2. Self-delivery. For customers further out, we deliver ourselves within a 20-mile radius. This is the route to try if the apps do not offer your address, for example a rental house in a village outside town or an office on an industrial estate.

If you are not sure which route fits, type your address into the app first. If we do not appear, contact us through our website and ask about self-delivery.

Staying in the center versus the outskirts

In the center, delivery is quick because the kitchen is close. Streets are narrow and often pedestrianized, so couriers usually come on foot or by bike, and it helps to give clear instructions: the hotel’s name, the room number, the doorbell label.

Outside the center, distance matters more. Food that travels longer loses some of its crispness, which is why we suggest ordering waffles for a short trip and bowls or wraps for a longer one. We come back to this below.

Which ordering channel to use

We sell the same fresh food on every channel, but the experience differs slightly. Here is how to choose.

Channel Best for Worth knowing
Deliveroo Center addresses, tracking your order live Shows estimated time, fees and minimum order for your address
Uber Eats Visitors who already have the app on their phone Our listing there is in the Salads, Vegan, Poke, Wraps and Desserts categories
Takeaway.com Residents who order regularly Useful if you already have an account
Self-delivery Addresses outside the app zones, within a 20-mile radius Contact us through the website to arrange it
Takeaway Walking past Speelmansrei 11 Order ahead so your food is ready when you arrive

One practical point: the apps show live availability. On Uber Eats, our page has at times shown delivery as unavailable, for instance when we are closed or the kitchen is busy. That is a status for that moment, not a permanent condition. Uber Eats lists the restaurants that deliver in Brugge at your address in real time, so check again later or switch to another channel.

Our opening hours and when to order

At the Speelmansrei location, we are open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 to 14:30, on Friday from 8:30 to 20:00, and on weekends from 11:00 to 14:00 and again from 17:00 to 20:00, according to our own site. Hours can change with the season, so the app is the final word on the day.

Three timing habits make a difference:

  • Weekday lunch: order early. Offices and hotels order at the same time, and because we prepare everything fresh daily, delivery times can fluctuate.
  • Weekends: there is a break between 14:00 and 17:00, so plan a late lunch order by 14:00, or wait for the evening window.
  • Waffles: order just outside the busiest minutes, around 11:00 to 14:00 or after 17:00 on days we are open in the evening, and the waffle gets more attention.

The Red Velvet Waffle: what it is and when you can get it

The Red Velvet Heart Waffle was our special for Valentine’s Day: a vivid red, heart-shaped waffle that fits our habit of bright, colorful food. We featured it throughout February 2026, and it has become one of our most requested desserts. Our menu on Deliveroo also lists a Wild Red Velvet Wafel among its waffles. We are a plant-forward kitchen with extensive vegan options, and the waffle sits comfortably next to the bowls and wraps.

Two honest caveats:

  • It is seasonal. The heart shape belongs to the Valentine’s period. At other times of year, check the live menu on the app you use, because we cannot promise the waffle is on it on a given day.
  • It sells out around busy dates. Specialty items are made to order and demand rises around holidays, so for a special occasion, order early in the day.

How to keep a waffle good on the way

A waffle is the one dish that does not like waiting. Steam softens the crust inside a closed box, so a few habits help:

  1. Eat within the first 20 to 30 minutes. Our guide to vegan, gluten-free waffles that survive 20 to 30 minutes looks at this in more detail.
  2. Open the box slightly when it arrives so steam can escape.
  3. Order it with the main course, not instead of it, and share it. A heart-shaped waffle is made for two spoons.
  4. Choose a shorter delivery trip if the waffle is the point of the order. Inside the center, that is easy.

A date night in your hotel room

Our most common waffle order comes from couples staying in a hotel in the center who want a Valentine’s treat without booking a table. A simple plan: order two bowls or wraps and a Red Velvet Waffle to share, give the hotel’s name and room number in the delivery notes, and ask reception to hold the order at the desk if you will be out. Our guide on visual plating ideas for Valentine’s Day delivery has ideas for making it look as good as it tastes.

Why delivery makes sense in Bruges

The center of Bruges is compact and walkable, but getting a car in is not simple. The city says paid parking applies from 9:00 to 20:00 every day, including Sundays and holidays, with a maximum of four hours at a stretch. The city’s visitor page recommends parking at a free park-and-ride on the edge of town and walking or taking a bus into the center.

For a hotel guest or a family with children, that means a meal in the room is often the easiest option after a day of walking. The courier handles the last stretch, and you skip both the parking meter and a restaurant queue. Our articles on the role of food delivery in tourism and the food delivery process in Brugge cover this in more detail.

Our perspective: fresh first, then distance

We have delivered from Hotel Entree for years, and the same lesson keeps coming back: the delivery zone matters less than what is in the box when it arrives. A radius on a map says where a courier can reach. It does not say whether the food still tastes the way it did in the kitchen.

Our perspective: fresh first, then distance — overview diagram

That is why we prepare everything fresh daily and keep the menu built around things that travel well: bowls, salads, wraps and drinks. The waffle is the exception, a treat that asks a little more of you, namely eating it soon. We think that is a fair trade. A hot, colorful, slightly messy red velvet waffle on a hotel bed after a day of canals and cobblestones is one of the nicer small pleasures we serve.

Our advice to anyone ordering from outside the center is simple. Choose the dishes that suit the distance, order a little earlier than you think you need to, and tell us in the notes if timing matters. We would rather you know what to expect than be surprised.

What to order alongside the waffle

A dessert works best with something fresh next to it. Our menu is built around healthy, colorful bowls, salads, wraps and specialty drinks, with a wide range of vegan options featuring superfoods and seeds such as acai. Some pairings that work well:

  • A light lunch plus the waffle. A salad or wrap, then the waffle as a shared dessert. See our balanced meal salads.
  • A bowl for dinner. Poke and vegan bowls hold up well to a longer trip. Our guide to vegan bowls in Bruges explains how to choose.
  • An acai bowl. If you order one, ask for an unsweetened base. We explain how in our acai bowl guide.
  • A family order. For several people, the notes on vegan family takeout cover timing and portions.

Order from Wild Foodz

Ready to order? Find us on Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Takeaway.com, or visit our website for direct ordering and to ask about self-delivery within our 20-mile radius. Enter your address first to see your delivery time, then add the Red Velvet Waffle if it is on the menu that day.

Step by step: ordering a waffle delivery without surprises

  1. Check the hours. Look at the day and time against our opening hours above.
  2. Enter your exact address. Include the hotel name, because several buildings in the center share a street.
  3. Look for the waffle on the live menu. If it is not there, the special may be out for the season or sold out for the day.
  4. Add notes. Room number, doorbell, a phone number, and whether the courier should leave the order at reception.
  5. Be ready when the status changes. Apps update as the order is prepared and picked up, so keep your phone close.
  6. Eat the waffle first, or soon. Save the cold dishes for later, and the waffle for the first ten minutes.

Common problems and how to solve them

The app says delivery is unavailable. This is a live status. Try again in a few minutes, try another app, or ask us about self-delivery.

Your address is not in the app zone. Apps draw their own maps. If you are within 20 miles of Speelmansrei 11, get in touch through the website and we can discuss our own delivery.

The courier cannot find you. Old buildings in the center often have no visible number. Add a landmark in the notes, such as a canal or a church, and a phone number.

The waffle arrived soft. That usually means a long trip or a sealed box. Next time, order it for a nearby address, open the box quickly, and eat it straight away.

You are sensitive to allergens. Mention it in the notes and check the ingredient details on the menu. We prepare food fresh daily, but we cannot make blanket allergy promises from here. For a severe allergy, contact us before ordering.

FAQ

Does Wild Foodz deliver to my hotel in Bruges?

If your hotel is in the center, almost certainly yes, since our kitchen is at Speelmansrei 11. Enter the address in Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Takeaway.com to confirm. Add your room number in the notes so the courier can find you.

How far does your own delivery go?

Our self-delivery covers a 20-mile radius around our kitchen. The apps use their own zones, which can differ from that radius and change through the day. If your address is not offered in an app, contact us through our website.

Are the Red Velvet Waffles always available?

No. The Red Velvet Heart Waffles are a seasonal special, featured throughout February 2026 for Valentine’s Day. A Red Velvet Waffle has also appeared on our Deliveroo menu, but check the live menu on the day, and order early for holiday dates when specialty items can sell out.

Is DoorDash available in Belgium?

No. DoorDash does not operate in Belgium as of 2026. In Bruges, the platforms to use are Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Takeaway.com, all of which we work with, or you can order directly from us.

Is it easier to drive to you or order delivery?

Delivery is usually easier if you are staying in the center. Paid parking runs daily from 9:00 to 20:00, and the city suggests leaving your car at a park-and-ride on the edge of town. If you do want to pick up, order ahead and walk over.
